Ruben Accou was born in 1981 and grew up in Kuurne.
As a student of Graphical design and illustration, he
started drawing cartoons. In a post-modern way he realized
illustrations, paintings, cartoons and some animation.
His big examples: Dave McKean, Ashley Wood, Nicolas
De Crécy, Gerard Richter, Michaël Borremans.
The room was considered as a
white piece of paper, on which he drew his enlarged cartoons
harmoniously and with consideration. The drawings pass over
walls, the floor, the furniture and bed sheets. Even the shower
has not been spared! The rest of the room is white, as an
unwritten, not-drawn paper: a place to enjoy!
