Rik Vermeersch was born in Kortrijk on the 7th of August
1949. He lives and works in Meulebeke. Since his studies at
the Institute of Fine Arts in Ghent (1966-1971) he has participated
in several expositions and he has received lots of nominations.
Rik realizes paintings, monuments, drawings, portraits, ceramics,
etc.
Magenta, cyanic and lemon yellow, three strong
primary colours, dominate drawings, paintings and ceramics.
The sheets, the wall tiles and the carpets are printed with
naked women, even the breakfast plates don’t spare you
from the happy ladies: have a nice meal!
